Ms. Shilpi Saha is a Senior Scientist at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) with over 29 years of experience in the developing NDT instruments, ultrasonic sensing systems and embedded technologies for nuclear and industrial applications.

An Electrical Engineering graduate from NIT Jamshedpur and alumnus of the BARC Training School (39th batch), she has received the Homi Bhabha Award for her academic excellence and the Scientific and Technical Excellence Award for her pivotal in the development of low-power electronics and NDT data analysis software for Instrumented Pipeline Inspection Gauges (IPIGs). The software, developed under her leadership, is used alongside these IPIG tools developed by BARC, to generate health assessment reports for more than 20000kms of buried cross-country oil pipelines—a vital component of the nation’s energy infrastructure.

Her work in signal processing, sensing, and precision measurement has supported critical infrastructure and earned multiple team achievement awards.
